  After trying another gym in melbourne, I eventually settled on Carlson Gracie. I trained here for a year before relocating back to Sydney for work. Without a doubt the most friendly and relaxed e environment I have trained out of the 4 different academies I have trained in.
  If you want somewhere informal, friendly, social.. with very high jiujitsu standards, then this place is for you.
  If you want to make some good friends then this place is for you.
  I would only say avoid Carlson Gracie if you are the kind of person that wants to be training in a military style "Gimme 200 push ups!!!" type environment, or if you want a huge state of the art mega gym. Carlson Gracie is all about high standards, friendly and decent people and the sort of place that feels more like a club and less like a gym. Highly recommended.
